A New Balance

For those of you who aren't so familiar with the shoe brand New Balance, they make sneakers that are designed for comfort. Actually, the sneakers originally became successful because they marketed to the elderly, providing shoes that catered to the wide feet.

Interesting, right? Well now New Balance has found that it doesn't hurt to make their sneakers fashionable as well.


Given their track record, I was surprised to see some of these new kicks:









Apparently New Balance is now collaborating with Nine West for a more stylish look. I'm not much of a sneaker person myself, but I was impressed with the turnaround.

Deborah Lippmann: nail lacquer

For those of you who are not familiar with Deborah Lippmann, she is an expert fashion manicurist who has her own nail polish line. What's so cool is that her nail polish isn't simply nail polish. I mean she gets to work with celebrities for new colors, and comes out with some really cool collections. And of course, as true with most nail polishes, the colors have very clever names. Here are a few of my favorite shades:

A Season for Ms.Matching

I love how in the attempt to stay warm at any cost, people wear some pretty ridiculous stuff. When you live somewhere cold, it doesn't matter if you look kinda weird, as long as you are warm. Well this is me in the lounge, staying warm and displaying the latest it's-so-unbelievably-cold-outside fashion.

Well, finals week is over and I'm going to head back home on Thursday. I've done lots of packing and last-minute shopping. Goodbye, Chicago! I'll miss your snow and ever-windy sidewalks.
